The holiday season is upon us. What does that exactly mean? It means that it is time to bake and eat all the cookies in the world!Cookies are a great holiday gift because everyone like them. Homemade cookies are by far better than store-bought dough. But why add the arduous task of baking a fresh batch of cookies onto your never-ending list? That’s not what I want you to do.
Instead, spend one evening making a super large batch of your own cookie dough. Then, roll the dough into balls for each individual cookie. Freeze them on a parchment lined baking sheet and once frozen, place them in a freezer bag. Store the balls of cookies in the freezer until you need them; they can be stored for up to 3 months. When it’s time to hand out your cookies, throw then into the oven and bake. This method will allow you to prepare 4-5 batches of cookies for all of those friends you want to give cookies to without taking up to much time.
Another great gift to give is Homemade Granola. Not only are you gifting your friends a healthy gift that they all will love, you are making your house smell amazing. Or invite them over for brunch and serve baked oatmeal. Not a morning person? No worries! Instead, invite them over for lunch and dinner and serve this hearty recipe for a Vegetarian Borsch. The holiday season seems a lot less stressful, right?
