This is a quick write-up about a quick recipe; I’m letting the recipe do most of the talking. Overnight oats are one of my go-to breakfasts during the school year because they are filling, healthy, and require no prep time in the morning. They can also be made to have different flavors; instead of banana and almond, why not turmeric and blueberry? Or what about a basic chia seed overnight oats? Make whatever your heart desires!
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1/2 banana, mashed
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2/3 cup gluten free oats
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- fresh or frozen berries, to top
In your serving glass or bowl, mix together the almond butter and mashed banana. 1/8 cup at a time, add in the almond milk.
Once the milk mixture is completely combined, add in the oats and chia seeds. Mix together until all oats and chia seeds are covered by the milk. Top with the berries.
Cover and place in the fridge for at least 8 hours. It can also sit overnight in the fridge until ready to serve.
