Tip of the Month: December 2015

IMG_9552Remember last months tip? Well, let me remind you! It was use a molecajete (stone guacamole smasher) or coffee grinder to grind coarse sea salt or spices. Now, with the holiday season coming up, you may be doing TONS of baking and every so often, you might run out of certain ingredients. Perhaps you are at a shortage of powdered sugar to top all those cakes and other baked goods. If this happens, then make your own powdered sugar with a coffee grinder. Just pulse your sugar and soon enough, you will have powdered sugar (also referred to as confectioner sugar). This tip can be used for caster sugar as well as coconut sugar. Make any sugar that you have into a powdered sugar.
